Private Label Rights to the Rescue

Private Label Rights to the Rescue

I started internet marketing using an all inclusive system that was designed more for affiliate marketing than anything else. What we were instructed to do was to create content to presell products, which is what you do in affiliate marketing when you review a product you are actually promoting.

What happens, however, if you are product creator and you are mostly interested in bringing traffic to your sales letters? Do you rely on your team of affiliates to drive traffic by preselling your product?

As marketers, it may be wise to differentiate the purpose of the content you use. Content can be news, discussion, reviews, information, or entertainment, but the main purpose of your content should be to lead people to the next step you want them to take. You are a marketer, not a newspaper.

Leading Content

Just as preselling warms up people to an offer you are promoting, so also should all content lead people to whatever action you want them to take. That action may just be to enter their email address, to buy a product, to fill out a questionnaire, to visit your Facebook page, or even to subscribe to your YouTube channel.

When you see content as a way of leading your visitors to what is really the essence of what you want your interaction with them to be, then the leading content can be seen under a completely new light.

Don’t be so Proprietary

If you buy certain brands of products, you may get in a jam, as I have, trying to buy the proprietary parts while you are travelling. It can be memory for a camera, or a cable connector, or any adaptors or accessories. The brand has to own everything. Sometimes the price you pay for a quality product is that you are bound to the brand for the life of the product.

But consumers would prefer standardization rather than proprietary bondage. Standardization helps bring down prices and increases availability.

In the case of content, we could say that if we see content as roads leading to calls to action, then it doesn’t necessarily matter who builds the roads, as long as your visitors can find them and use them.

Who is King, Content or Offer?

If you are a marketer, your offers and calls to action are king. If you are a newspaper, you may be more interested in page views than in making offers, but even then you add content from the Associated Press.

YouTube has an Alexa ranking of 3, that is, Alexa considers YouTube as the third most important website in the world. But who does the product creation for YouTube? Just about anybody in the world with a video camera and an internet connection can add content to YouTube. All YouTube has to do is add a few advertisements around the videos and those are the calls to action.

Have you also noticed the proliferation of publishers asking people to sign up as guest blogger? Publishers need content, but they realize that they don’t need to be the ones to write it.

Consider Private Label Rights for Content Creation

PLR can come to your rescue once you realize that you may need more roadways to your calls to action than you can build yourself.

Articles in article directories can be used to add content to your site, but a much better solution is to buy private-label-rights articles that you can edit and upload to your website. A little editing gives you the satisfaction of having unique content on your site without consuming too much of your time.
