Listen and Learn: Attending live conferences is essential to your progress. The conferences I have attended have become fond memories of my work offline and a foundation to my work online.

Attending conferences requires careful scheduling and financial planning. The most power benefits are the intangible ones: new ideas, new markets, new trends, new technology, and new relationships. Conferences are energizing and help keep you motivated to achieve your goals, but they can also be very costly.

To lower cost, many attendees share rooms and travel together. I’ve even known top businessmen that go to conferences as partners to qualify for company discounts. It is understandable; some conferences can cost thousands of dollars to attend.

But even if you are not able to attend a conference, you can usually benefit from the teachings by purchasing the audio files. Listening to teachings over and over again can bring you incalculable rewards, even if you attended the original conference.

I prefer to use a small digital recorder that has a few added features, such as allowing me to mark a portion of the file and listen to that portion again and again.
