Internet Success Secrets - Be Attentive to Opportunities That Come Even at a Young Age
Are there any internet secrets left to be discovered? Of course there are! Anything that we don't know is a secret to us. Each business has its own inner circle, its own set of successful people that know just a little bit more than the average person in that industry; it is that usually small bit of extra knowledge that makes them much more successful.
Russell Brunson, creator of DotCom Secrets, creating products as a college student. He had been interested in advertising even as a young school boy. While most of his friends would buy comic books, Russell would buy Business Opportunities magazines. He would obsessively call or write to every single advertiser in the magazines, and collected all the direct mail replies he received. His mother had to make him throw away the huge box of mail he had accumulated. While he constantly pondered in his mind what he was learning, he was tilling the ground to discover the DotCom Secrets that made him a success very quickly.
Russell's father saw his success and was amazed. He asked Russell to help various members of the family by teaching them the 'secrets.' Soon his father had gathered all the uncles and a number of other relatives to come to a big family seminar. Russell saw an opportunity even there and advertise the seminar with the most compelling selling point, "If I am revealing my secrets to my family, you better believe I'll be speaking from my heart and revealing everything they need to know to succeed. Russell continues to show that same youthful generosity in all the products he produces.
Willie Crawford's Inner Circle
A few months ago, I had the opportunity to be at Willie Crawford's Birthday Bash, where a group of close friends and internet marketers joined him in celebrating his fiftieth birthday.
The celebration was part of a seminar packed with people of different backgrounds. Even in the midst of such diversely talented people, we were all working and sharing together while we continued the sense of celebration throughout the weekend. It was what Willie himself would describe as an "Inner Circle."
Willie Crawford grew up in a family that was dependent on government subsidy to survive. He decided one day to "git off the porch," as he describes in his book by that title, and make his own future. He joined the air force and right before he retired he discovered the internet and developed a passion for the new media.
He started his internet marketing career in 1996, when he setup his first southern cooking website. Though he became adept at selling and writing, he didn't go into the internet marketing niche until around 2002, when he spoke at the first seminar. Live events produce live friends and that circle of friends has been growing ever since.
Willie soon discovered the power of his growing connections. He had proven his success in the cooking niche and now he could expand that success into the most competitive of niches, Internet Marketing. It was through his connections that Willie not only succeeded in that new niche, but he has also been able to teach hundreds of other marketers to succeed as well.
On his Blog Talk Radio show, Willie has interviewed dozens of his friends. The programs have that simplicity of a humble man talking to friends, yet they are packed with information. Willie is constantly teaching as he speaks and he pulls you into that inner circle.
Going to live events is essential to developing your business relationships, but the events are costly and you can only do that a few times a year. However, they are still one of the best ways of developing relationships and partnerships.
