Using A Redirect Script
Free cloaking script: One of the easiest ways to cloak a destination URL that includes an affiliate link is through the use of a simple redirect script. The way a redirect works is by creating a page on your website which includes a code that transfers people to an different destination. The redirecting page doesn’t have to include any content, though sometimes you see a message such as, “If you are not redirected within 15 seconds, please click ‘here.’”
A free cloaking script that uses a redirect is an added step which is virtually invisible to the visitor. The redirecting page is the only one that contains the affiliate link within its code.
When you are redirected to the affiliate website, a cookie with your affiliate data is planed on the visitor’s computer and the regular URL of the product is displayed. Most affiliate programs provide you with text links that include anchor text which disguises your affiliate link; however, as soon as you put the cursor on top of the anchor text your affiliate link is displayed at the bottom of the screen. Note that the quotes are part of the code and that the entire line must be enclosed in the smaller-than (<) and greater-than (>) symbols, as with all HTML code.
